The side fenders attach to the canal narrow boat or barge by a single rope that passes right through the rubber tube. The rope is knotted above and below the tube. A steel washer on the bottom prevents pull through.

If your boat has small eyelets on the gunnels you should purchase these side fenders. They are exactly the same as our normal rubber side fenders but with a shorter length of 6mm hempex rope.

To avoid any losses we advise that you to sail with side fenders up, deploying them only for mooring.
