Narrowboat mooring rope, ten metres of jet black Softline (a synthetic rope that is extremely easy to handle), eye spliced at one end and back spliced at the other. Splicing both ends means the rope is easy for you to handle and that the ends do not fray.

Softline is made from a variety of different materials (multi filament) so it feels different to most plastic based ropes e.g. normal polypropylene rope, synthetic hemp.  

This line is ideal for narrowboat mooring ropes as it floats but does not rot.  It has also been UV stabilised, this ensures that it will not decompose in direct sunlight.
