This Trafalgar Marine long button fender is made from Manila coloured sisal rope woven around a solid core. With the exception of the U Bow all of our fenders use specially designed durable rubber cores.

Using bespoke moulds to create robust rubber cores with interlocked chains ensures that products are of consistent size and quality. This means that you can be assured of a long life span and since the rubber comes from recycled tyres using these cores is also considered environmentally friendly.

The natural Sisal 12 mm rope is chosen for its quality, colour and durability. Many narrow boat enthusiasts and traditionalists prefer the natural look of these fenders. This said you should note that Sisal fenders will degrade faster than their polypropylene counterparts.

Long button fenders are meant to be attached to the back or stern of your canal boat. They can be combined with a tipcat on wide beams or working boats with long rudders.

This fender attaches to your canal boat by three chain fittings, interlocked and moulded right through the solid rubber core.
