The Trafalgar Marine short button fender is made from Manila coloured sisal rope woven around a solid rubber core. The core is made from recycled rubber and is guaranteed not to degrade over time.

Using bespoke moulds to create robust rubber cores with interlocked chains ensures that products are of consistent size and quality.  This means that you can be assured of a long life span and since the rubber comes from recycled tyres using these cores is also considered environmentally friendly.

The natural Sisal 12 mm rope has been chosen for its quality, colour and durability. Many narrow boat enthusiasts prefer the natural look of these fenders. This said you should note that natural sisal fenders will degrade faster than their polypropylene counterparts.

Short button fenders are meant to be attached to the front or bow of your canal boat. The only other alternatives to this fender are either the V Bow or U Bow fenders. This specific fender attaches to your canal boat by four chain fittings that are interlocked and moulded right through the solid rubber core.
